Spend a day learning the fundamentals of needlepoint finishing and working through your own finishing challenges!
Morning: Round Finishing Fundamentals (10:00 AM–1:00 PM)
We'll begin with a hands-on round ornament finishing workshop, covering canvas preparation, assembly, custom cording, and techniques for achieving a beautiful, polished finish.
Lunch (1:00–1:30 PM)
Enjoy lunch and a little time to visit with fellow stitchers before we begin our afternoon session.
Afternoon: The Finishing Studio (1:30–4:00 PM)
Bring your projects, your questions, and your curiosity!
Have an irregular ornament you're unsure how to approach? A pillow that's presenting a challenge? Or perhaps a finishing technique you've tried but haven't quite mastered?
The afternoon is dedicated to personalized guidance, troubleshooting, exploring construction options, and working through specific finishing questions.
This is your opportunity to sit down with a professional finisher, ask questions, and develop a plan for tackling your own projects.
Please Note: The Finishing Studio is a guided problem-solving session, not a complete instructional workshop for multiple finishing styles. Completion of individual projects is not guaranteed.
What to Bring:
For the morning class:
One completed, stitched round needlepoint canvas, preferably with two to three extra rows
Backing fabric
DMC #5 Pearl Cotton for custom cording
For the afternoon:
One or two projects you'd like guidance with
Any materials you've already purchased for those projects
Your finishing questions!
Students are encouraged to share photographs or questions about their projects in advance.
All necessary classroom tools and instructional supplies for the morning class will be provided.
Your $190 registration includes the morning class, lunch, and afternoon Finishing Studio. No additional registration is required.
Class sizes are limited to provide personalized instruction.
Registration Policy: No refunds. Class payments may be applied as credit toward another class or finishing services.
